Excellent Customer Service
Here's the situation: you can read lists of features about an email provider. But in my opinion, an email service, no matter the list of awesome features, is only as good as their customer service. If you read about various privacy email companies here on Trust Pilot, you can see that a lot of them have really bad customer service. The reason I give 5 stars to Hushmail is because their customer service is consistently excellent. They treat my concerns with care and attention, they actually listen, and I am always respected as a human being. My experience with other companies of internet services in general is that the customer service is very poor, they don't listen, don't help, and don't treat you like a human being (while posting on Trust Pilot that "we are committed to excellent customer service..." or other misleading statements).The Hushmail reps are always good to me. They are the best customer service of any company, anywhere. And, no, I am not being compensated to say this. I am just sick of terrible customer service from other companies and very, very grateful to be treated well by the Hushmail peeps. I have been with Hushmail for a number of years, so I have had the opportunity to experience their customer service over a long period of time. I hope this helps others with your decision-making process.
