And don’t worry — you won’t be entering any sensitive info. :)
- Do you want a regular Hushmail address? (For example, an email address that ends with @hushmail.com or one of our other options.)
- Do you want a custom Hushmail address that includes your practice/business after the “@”? (e.g., @yourpractice.com, where “yourpractice” would be the name of your practice.)
Do you own a domain name?
Explanation: A domain is something that looks like yourpractice.com. Domains can be used for websites, emails, or both.
If you do have one, you probably purchased it through a website builder (like Wix or Squarespace) or a "domain registrar" (like GoDaddy or Bluehost).
(Note: As long as you purchased it somewhere, you "own" it. 😉)
Do you want all present and future email addresses with your domain to go through Hushmail?
Explanation: Let's say your domain is yourpractice.com and you currently have 2 email addresses, yourname@yourpractice.com and admin@yourpractice.com.
No matter how many email addresses (or inboxes) you create with that domain, they can only be connected to one email provider.
That means, if you connect your domain to Hushmail, all your email accounts using your domain will be handled by Hushmail. Would you like to do this?
OK, that means you will not be connecting Hushmail to your domain.
But guess what? You can still create a custom Hushmail address that includes the name of your practice or business. We can do that through a subdomain.
Explanation: With a subdomain, you can create addresses that end with @yourpractice.hush.com. You'd be using our @hush.com domain (or one of our other domains) but include the name of your practice!
This is a great option if you want to keep using your current email setup but also have a separate secure Hushmail account that reflects your professional practice.
